Wedding Fairs – Five Reasons to go!

The majority of engaged couples attend wedding fairs at some point during their wedding planning journey. Whether it’s right at the beginning of the adventure or just for finishing touches towards the big day itself, you are sure to find something that you need or must have!

Rustic bar at a wedding

Wedding Fairs run mainly “out of season” in the Spring and Autumn, when wedding suppliers aren’t rushing around quite so much. That said, since Covid, wedding season has gone out of the window! In recent years, weddings have moved away from the more traditional white wedding and come in shapes and sizes from boho to bohemian, rustic to romantic and more. The list really is endless. A wedding fair is a fantastic place to see examples of these different styles, including ideas that you probably haven’t even considered or might have thought that they weren’t for you.

So why should you go to a wedding fair?

  1. Bucketfulls of Inspo!

Check out the latest inspiration in person instead of on Instagram. Afterall, you can’t touch things on Instagram and that’s exactly what wedding fairs are all about. You will meet wedding suppliers who will create fabulous displays and who can create your visualisation to turn dreams into reality.

We often see couples snapping away on their phones for them to remind themselves of products and exhibitors. Some suppliers may also have QR codes that you can scan which will take you straight to their website too!

Wedding fairs can be dangerous though, as you will often leave wanting things that you can’t live without! It’s like a big shopping trip for the big day, but doesn’t every couple deserve the best! Afterall, you wouldn’t want to have any regrets….

  1. Local wedding suppliers Wedding table place setting

Wedding fairs are a must when it comes to finding local trusted wedding suppliers. This is one of the biggest days of your life, so why would you book someone that you’ve never met before or is just a name on an email or a number of the phone? Make that personal connection with a supplier instead of trawling through pages and pages of websites and reviews. Make sure you “click” with that person especially those that you will be spending all day with such as your photographer and videographer.

  1. Freebies & Show Offers Wedding Fair Show Offer

It certainly is no secret that weddings aren’t cheap so take advantage of the wedding fairs and bag yourself a show offer such as a free engagement shoot or 10% off your wedding dress and more! Not to mention the free goody bag that most event companies offer upon arrival. These often contain glossy bridal magazines for lots of bedtime reading!

  1. Ask away!

Because there really is no better time to ask questions! Some couples even come with lists of things that they want to ask suppliers.

  1. Enjoy the ride!

We know that as soon as you mention the word wedding, stress levels can go through the roof! So start as you mean to go on and have some fun! Enjoy the ride of the wedding planning journey. Grab your bridal/groom party and your bestie and tick off some of those things on your list!
