The Wedding Club

You may have seen that we have launched The Wedding Club. We felt that there was a need for a networking event aimed purely for wedding industry professionals in this area. As Mark is a wedding photographer, we’re able to see the industry from the point of an exhibitor and an events organiser.

MJR Events Wedding Club at Sprowston Manor Hotel. Wedding Industry Professionals listening to a guest speakerMost wedding pro’s pass like ships in the night and rarely get time to chat at a wedding, as they are busy doing what they do best. We thought it would be nice to start a club.

A club where there is no commitment to attend regular meetings, no joining fee, no subscription and no pretence. So The Wedding Club was launched last month at The Maids Head Hotel in Norwich city centre. We had nearly 30 wedding suppliers from across the region. This isn’t aimed purely at our exhibitors. Everyone is welcome (well, nearly everyone!). We want it to be a fully inclusive event. So we’re not just inviting our friends and clients to attend. Although we’d be missing a trick if we didn’t blow our own trumpet a little bit at the meetings!Sophie Jewry The Queen of Brand leaflet on branding your business

The idea is to move around wedding venues across the county each month. This gives all of our members an opportunity to meet the venue and make those all important connections. It also gives the venue a chance to promote themselves to all of the suppliers, so that in turn they can then recommend the venue first hand.

It’s our intention to keep the meetings free to attend for our members. We’re planning to have a guest speaker at each of the meetings, which are informative and relevant to the world of weddings.

Festive Meet Up

So if you’ve exhibited with us loads of times or never at all, then we’d love to see you all at our festive drinks and nibbles night. It will be at The Cosy Club in Norwich on Monday 16th December. If you don’t know where it is then it’s in the old NatWest building at the top of London Street in the city centre. We will be downstairs in the vault. But don’t worry, the vault door doesn’t shut. So there’s no risk of getting locked in until you sign up to one of our shows!
